Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum Development
- Teach various dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, etc.)
- Develop structured lesson plans that align with student skill levels.
- Provide individualized instruction and constructive feedback.
- Incorporate technique, musicality, and choreography into classes.
Classroom & Student Management
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage class schedules and student progress.
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety.
- Encourage creativity and self-expression in students.
Choreography & Performance Preparation
- Choreograph routines for recitals, competitions, and special events.
- Assist students in rehearsals and performance execution.
- Select appropriate music and coordinate costumes.
Professional Development & Studio Support
- Stay updated on new dance techniques and teaching methodologies.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist with studio events, showcases, and community outreach.
- Promote studio programs and recruit new students.
Job Requirements:
Experience
- Proven experience as a dance instructor or dancer.
- Experience working with children, teens, and/or adults in a teaching capacity (preferred but not required).
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one or more dance styles.
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques, terminology, and movement principles.
- Ability to adapt to different skill levels and age groups.
- Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about teaching and inspiring students.
Substitute Dance instructor
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled substitute dance instructor who can step in when regular instructors are unavailable due to sickness, personal events, or emergencies. The substitute will be responsible for maintaining the quality of instructing, ensuring continuity in students' learning, and creating a positive and engaging class environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Class Instruction & Student Engagement
- Teach scheduled dance classes as needed, following the regular instructor's lesson plan when provided.
- Adapt to different age groups and skill levels while maintaining a structured and engaging class.
- Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and corrections to students.
Classroom Management & Student Safety
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
- Ensure student safety and adherence to proper dance techniques.
- Communicate any class-related issues to studio management or the primary instructor.
Choreography & Lesson Continuity
- Continue working on routines or techniques as outlined by the regular instructor.
- Adjust chorography or exercises as necessary to keep students engaged and progressing.
Studio and Administrative Support
- Arrive early to review lesson plans or communicate with staff about class needs.
- Report attendance and provide feedback on student progress when required.
- Follow all studio policies, including music selection, and safety protocols.
Job Requirements:

- Experience teaching or assisting in dance instruction.

- Ability to quickly adapt to different class structures and teaching environments.
- Strong knowledge of dance techniques and movement principles.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to be available on short notice.
